Objections

For The Sceptics

Everything we've described sounds great. Too great. Here's where we address the part of your brain that's screaming "yes, but..."
These are legitimate questions. They deserve serious answers. We're still us (slightly irreverent, allergic to corporate speak), but we're not joking about security, reliability, or your data.

Where does my data actually go?

Your data lives on Frappe Cloud infrastructure (Australian data centre by default, other regions available). Frappe Cloud is SOC 2 Type II certified, ISO 27001 compliant, and runs on hardened infrastructure.

Specifics:
• Database: MariaDB with encrypted storage
• Files: Object storage with encryption at rest
• In transit: TLS 1.3 minimum
• Backups: Daily automated, retained for 30 days, encrypted
• You can export everything at any time in standard formats (CSV, SQL, JSON)

How do I know what this will actually cost?

We're experimenting with cost-plus-margin pricing because we genuinely don't know yet how much "computer" different businesses will use. We show you the breakdown monthly. If our costs go down (they will as AI gets cheaper), your bill goes down proportionally.

The guarantee:
• We'll never surprise you with a bill
• You get monthly forecasts based on usage trends
• You can set spending caps
• If you want to leave, we'll help you export everything

Sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

There are several catches. Let's list them:

Catch 1: You have to engage - The Operator learns from interaction. If you ignore it, it can't help you.

Catch 2: We're small - We can't throw armies of support staff at your problems. We respond fast (usually same-day), but we're humans with finite capacity.

Catch 3: This is new - Some features we're describing aren't built yet. We're transparent about what exists now vs. what's on the roadmap.
Still sceptical? Good. Scepticism is how you avoid getting burned. Email us your objections: hello@meanwhile.computer
